There is a long history behind Citizens Insurance which dates back to 1952 when the original parent company, The Hanover Insurance Group, Inc. was founded. As part of the Hanover Group, Citizens Insurance has the honor of being part of the oldest continuously operating insurance company in the United States still operational within the exact same industry.
