Allstate Motorcycle Insurance

One of the great names in automobile insurance is Allstate and Allstate Motorcycle Insurance lays claim to being a member of a family of insurance products that have withstood the test of time. So many companies come and go so that you are never quite sure if they will be around to honor any claims should they be lodged against your policy. This is not the case with Allstate so that when it comes to motorcycle insurance you can be sure that your policy will, at the very minimum, meet the state requirements where you live.

Meeting State Requirements
The very minimal policy you can buy from Allstate will cover the minimum requirements in any state. This consists of Liability broken down further to Property Damage and Bodily Injury. However, it should be stated that each state has minimum requirements in terms of Property Damage and Liability. Your policy will be written something like this:

  • 25/50/10

Of course the numbers will be different but each place pertains to a specific amount of coverage. In the above example, 25 refers to $25k for one person in the other vehicle up to $50k per accident which would be the second figure in the formula. The final number stands for $10k in property damage. Those numbers do not pertain to an actual policy or the actual numbers legislated in any state, they are merely for the sake of an example.

Optional Allstate Motorcycle Insurance Coverage
Usually the state required minimums only cover a portion of what happens to the other vehicle or people in/on that vehicle. For better coverage there are a number of optional coverages that should be considered. An Allstate Motorcycle Insurance policy could also carry:

  • Medical Payments
  • Personal Injury Protection
  • Collision
  • Comprehensive
  • Uninsured Motorist Bodily Injury
  • Underinsured Motorist Bodily Injury
  • Rental Reimbursement

As you can see, some of those coverages pertain to the other vehicle while man of them cover your motorcycle in the event that you are found at fault or in certain circumstances when you need to file against the other insurance company and there is none! Bear in mind that not everyone is as conscientious as you are and may not carry insurance as a result.
